Para badminton Administrator Course

The Para Badminton Administrator Course is specifically designed to train individuals in the unique aspects of managing and promoting Para badminton at the national and international levels. Participants will learn about the specific needs of Para badminton athletes, the governance structures in place, and how to create inclusive and accessible programs. This course empowers administrators to effectively organize competitions, develop talent pathways, and foster the growth of Para badminton, ensuring that the sport remains accessible and inclusive for athletes of all abilities.

Since Badminton made its Paralympic Games debut at the Tokyo 2020 games Badminton Europe has been supporting the development of its Members in Para badminton. Each year Badminton Europe is organising a Para badminton event to educate coaches and administrators to share knowledge and experiences. The Para badminton Administrators Course is a part of the Para badminton event.

The goal of the Para badminton Administrator Course is to provide administrators with tools and best practices for Para badminton development.

The course focuses on the following items:

  • History of Para badminton
  • Analysis of the status of Para Badminton in the participant country
  • Recruitment of players and coaches
  • How to grow Para Badminton
  • Classification and rules
  • BWF and BEC events structure
  • Making a Para Badminton strategy
  • Making an action plan
  • Wheelchair session with coaches and experts
