The Advance Badminton Coaching Education (ADVANCE) is the leading international coaching education in Europe. ADVANCE is for aspiring coaches with an ambition of taking their coaching career to the next level.
The application process for the 4th Edition of the Advance Education open November 28 2025 and will conclude January 29 2026. Link to invitation: Advance 4th Edition.
The ADVANCE education is 22 days of learning spread over 4 camps and 10 months with mentoring, virtual learning and self-study in between physical meetups. This extensive format allows participants to:
- Understand badminton coaching from a broader perspective where tactic, technique, strength, pedagogy and coaching style are examined deeply & connected
- Understand how to develop player from "Craddle to podium"
- Create and develop inspiring and motivating training environments for all age groups
- Develop, understand and strengthen their own coaching philosophy
- Develop your coaching entrepreneurship: Make a career out of your coaching
- And much more
Throughout the education all participants will be supported by an experienced personal mentor.
Who is the ADVANCE education for: aspiring coaches with the ambition, commitment and potential to become coaches in challenging coaching positions across Europe within the next 5-7 years.
Criteria to apply: We are looking for coaches who has the motivation and determination to seek a career as badminton coach. If you fulfil two or more of the below requirements, we will be happy to receive your application:
- Have a formal badminton education
- Have experience in coaching competition players
- Are a current or former international player
- Have been training in high performance environment on regional or national level either as a junior or an adult player
- Have a sports related education as physiotherapist, physical trainer, PE teacher, university degree in sports etc.
The ADVANCE education is recognised by the BWF and has an equivivalent status similar to the BWF Coach Education Level 3.
