RSL BEC High Performance Centre

The RSL BEC High Performance Centre (HPC) is Badminton Europe’s contribution to developing high performance badminton in Europe. We want to assist our members in creating the future stars of European badminton. As of September 2025 we launched a new exciting setup, with a narrower focus on assisting players with a potential of reaching top 150 in the world and a strong link to Team Europe.

Our Mission

To assist our European members in developing the future star players of Europe. To motivate a more competitive High-Performance environment in Europe which in turn should lead to improved performance globally.

Victor Lai did his World Championsship preparation at our High Performance Centre before going to Paris and claiming a historic bronce for Canada. Listen to him praising the centre or take a deeper dive into the HPC in the videos below:

Players at the RSL BEC HPC will have their own room with a small kitchen and own toilet. Food can be ordered 7 days a week.

Players at the RSL BEC HPC will have free entrance to the swim hall and the opening hours are:                    

Monday – Thursday
05:30-22:00
Friday
05:30-19:00
Saturday – Sunday
08:00-19:00

The RSL BEC HPC have three group sessions with coaches in the gym per week.

Players at the RSL BEC HPC will also have free entrance to the gym and the opening hours are:

The RSL BEC High Performance Centre (HPC) is placed in Denmark.

Denmark is a Nordic country and the southernmost of the Scandinavian nations.

 The sovereign state is south-west of Sweden and south of Norway and bordered to the south by Germany.

In Denmark lives around 5,8 million people. The Capital in Denmark is Copenhagen.

The exact location of HPC is in the town Holbæk with a population of about 28.000 people.

RSL BEC CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE - Sports Alle 1 - 4300 Holbæk

Holbæk is a nice, peaceful and beautiful city close to the sea. 

It has long coastlines, beaches and beautiful views. 

And only 65 km to the capital Copenhagen. 

There are several daily buses and trains between Holbæk and Copenhagen.

It is also close (only 70 km) to Copenhagen Airport 

education / work


The players can do an IB (The International Baccalaureate = high school).

The players who follow the course will practice at the RSL BEC HPC, Stenhus college and Club depending on their school schedule.

Players can go to University (University of Roskilde, Aalborg and Copenhagen) and Business School (Copenhagen)

Small jobs are available for the RSL BEC HPC players.
