The French Badminton Federation (FFBaD), approved by the Ministry in charge of sports, has the mission to develop, control and organize the practice of badminton on French territory.

The FFBaD is looking for a responsible coach to pilot the national double project based on the INSEP Olympic Pole and implemented throughout the national territory. The FFBaD and its National Technical Director wish to continue the implementation of this project by recruiting a framework consistent with the sustainability, coherence and continuity of the federal system as well as the current National Senior Badminton Project.

MAIN MISSIONS
  • Head of the doubles in Olympic Center (PO) of INSEP in all dimensions impacting the performance of the players and the relevance of the project.
  • Manage assistant coaches, other technical staff and sparring players, in all actions planned for the doubles project.
  • Prepare and develop double players according to the orientations of the federal performance project and individual performance projects under the goal of winning World and Olympic medals.
  • Manage and ensure all technical tasks, administrative and financial tasks related to competition planning and the bi-daily training of the High-Performance Group on the High Performance National Centre at INSEP and High Performance Access on the Strasbourg CREPS if necessary occasionally.
  • Propose to the Head Coach all planning, training and competition programming including administrative and financial monitoring under the goals agreed.
  • Briefing, coaching, debriefing and managing players and assistant coaches (and other staff) in training and competition.
  • Actively participate in the development and evolution of the national doubles project
  • Propose individual performance projects and objectively evaluate (key performance indicators - KPIs) the progress of the players of the Olympic Pole as well as all the players of the national project of singles.
  • Facilitate regular meetings of coaches of the National Doubles Project, participate in meetings of the Federal Performance Project and meetings with physiotherapists, mental trainers, functional trainers.
  • Report to Head Coach, Performance Management and National Technical Director.
  • Participate in other tasks directly or indirectly related to the performance project requested by the Performance Director.
  • Travel and manage a player/group of players on reference competitions, international tournaments/ international competition tours, as well as training camps for reference competitions (foreign, altitude, etc.).

  • Experience in international badminton.
  • Expected to work irregular hours and weekends.
  • Developing yearly individual performance projects, briefing, coaching, competitive debriefing and video analysis.
  • Intervene with a player/ group of players in access to high performance and high-performance development, effectively transmit feedback.
  • Administrative and financial monitoring of competitions
  • Meet with elected colleagues to present their views and vision in line with the national single project.
  • Excellent multifeeding skills to develop players singles to a world class level.
  • Proficiency in English for the management of training, training camps, competitions, foreign mails.
Soft skills
  • Ability to work as a team with corporatism, loyalty and commitment to staff, players and the direction of sports performance.
  • Relationship with staff, players, federation colleagues and elected officials
