The 2024 BEC Congress awaits in Budapest

Budapest, Hungary, will host the 2024 BEC Congress from 24 to 25 May. This annual gathering will unite key figures of European and international badminton for two days of collaborative discussions, strategic decision-making, and a celebration to highlight the sport’s accomplishments. 
Delegates will begin arriving today, Thursday 23, ahead of an event-filled Friday 24 that includes discussions on the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics and insights from a keynote speaker from the BWF. The weekend will peak with the 57th Annual Delegates' Meeting on Saturday, where a new BEC Vice-President will be elected, followed by one of the highlights of the congress, the 2024 BEC Awards Gala, marking a grand finale to the weekend.

This year's gala will see ten prestigious awards presented, including BEC Male Player of the Year, BEC Female Player of the Year, BEC Young Player of the Year, BEC Senior Player of the Year, BEC Para Badminton Player of the Year, BEC Coach of the Year, BEC Technical Officials Award, BEC Fan Player of the Year, BEC Shot of the Year, and the newly introduced BEC Social Media Award, which acknowledges individuals promoting badminton and innovating through online platforms. 
Additionally, the BEC Hall of Fame induction will take place during the gala, honouring a European player for their outstanding career contributions in a lifetime achievement award.
