The TotalEnergies BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2024 kicked off with an opening ceremony, featuring performances by dancers and attended by prominent figures from Chengdu's government, sponsors, and BWF Deputy President KhunyingPatama Leeswadtrakul.
This year marks the 33rd edition of the Thomas Cup and the 30th edition of the Uber Cup, both taking place from 27 April to 5 May in Chengdu. The tournament will host a total of 32 teams, with four European teams – Germany, Czechia, England, and Denmark – competing in the Thomas Cup, and Denmark representing Europe in the Uber Cup.
