Reigning Olympic champion, three-time world champion and four-time European champion. A truly already legendary record for Carolina Marin, but the Spanish ace wants more.

Marin, still just mid-way through her career at 26 years old, has pretty much won everything in the game. However, she is focused on cementing a long-standing legacy when she says.

- My goal is to be the most winning female single players in the world and the Olympics. I know that it won´t be easy at all, but I train hard every day to achieve this goal.

Marin is already the most successful women’s singles player in world championship history. But at the Olympics, China’s Zhang Ning won back to back Olympic golds in 2004 and 2008, which will certainly be a big target to surpass for Marin.

To achieve the heights that Marin has, and to come back from a serious injury as she has recently, it requires unbelievable psychological strength. How does the top European lady of all-time set herself apart?

- I motivate myself by improving my skills in every practice and giving my best during competition around the world. Hard work, strong mind and an incredible team that supports me with the leadership of my coach Fernando Rivas.

Share all my love

Still in her mid-twenties, Marin has a lot of time to entertain the badminton world and create more unforgettable memories. The 2024 Olympics will be in Paris, we ask if we will be seeing her there.

- That is one of my goals. First one is the Tokyo Olympic Games and the second one is to make it to Paris 2024 to be able to compete in my best condition.

Lastly, Marin is one of the biggest superstars in the sport, with some much attention all the time, how does a professional deal with this pressure. Marin explains and sends a message her fans.

- I appreciate all the support from my fans when I play around the world, and I would like to share all my love to them.
