The 2019 Member’s Forum is in the books, and it was clear that the Member Associations of Badminton Europe wanted to contribute on a day, where the new speed dating concept “Commission Clinic” was introduced.
Badminton know-how from all around Europe was gathered around the tables in Kiev at the 2018 Member’s Forum on Friday.
Presentations about the new Imagine 2023 project, High Performance and Gender equity were among the input to the Member Associations during the day, and of course there was also time to see some familiar and new faces.
- It is an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues from other associations from across Europe. It is also a good chance to see, what Badminton Europe is working on and to see, how the Lithuanian badminton federation can be part of that vision, Vaidotas Sruogis says.
The new thing: Commission Clinic
Director of Badminton Europe, Emma Mason, took the stage and introduced the Member Associations to a new concept: Commission Clinic. A concept where the Member Associations get the chance to talk to the Directors and the staff in all relevant areas – for instance High Performance, Commercial & Communication, Members Structure, etc.
- We wanted to create a format where our members could hear the work, that we are doing on their behalf and to have their feedback. We take the feedback very serious, and it helps us in the years to come, Mason says.
- The first feedback I have had has been good, so I am happy. Tired but happy, Mason adds.
Saturday the BEC Congress continues with Annual Delegate Meeting and the BEC Gala.
