The two Russian pairs, Ekaterina Bolotova/Alina Davletova and Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov are among the semifinalists at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow, India.
In the Women’s Doubles Category Bolotova and Davletova managed to overcome Indian pair Kuhoo Garg/Ningshi Block Hazarika in comfortable style over two games.
The Europeans managed to take the first game with ease against their opponents playing on home ground 21-6.
The second game was much more even but Bolotova and Davletova continued in their winning stride to take the game 21-14 and gain their place in the semi-finals.

Ekaterina Bolotova and Alina Davletova have expressed their happiness to get into the semi-finals of the Syed Modi international and reveal that they are looking forward to the match.
The pair also has their eyes of the World Ranking points and experience should they make it to the final.
We are very happy to have reached the semi-final- It’s a very good opportunity to get points for the rising World Ranking and to get experience in the final stages of tournaments.
We are going to try our best to try and reach the final and maybe even win it and of course, enjoy playing against such interesting opponents.
Three Europeans into the last four
Ivanov/Sozonov play Indonesian pair Fjar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto while Bolotova/Davletova face Indian pair Ashwini Ponnappa/Reddy N. Sikki tomorrow.
Also into the semifinals, next to the Russian pairs, Danish Men’s Doubles pair Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen are through to the next round of the tournament.
They play Indian opponents Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty in tomorrow’s semi-final schedule.
