The LI NING BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2018 kicked off on Monday, and the English team was off to the perfect start.

The English team beat Macau China 5-0 in the opening match of group H.

Harry Huang (men’s singles), Freya Redfearn (women’s singles) William Jones/Ethan van Leeuwen (men’s doubles) and Asmita Chaudhari/Annie Lado (women’s doubles) made the perfect follow up on the opening win delivered by Rory Easton and Hope Warner in the mixed doubes.

- I think we had a really strong performance against Macau. Focus definitely needs to be maintained on Tuesday as we have two matches - one of which is against Indonesia who are the second seeds in the tournament, Hope Warner says.

Good standard
