Ondrej Král had a good day in Leuven and is ready for the main draw at the 2018 YONEX Belgian International.
In his first match Král won 17-21 22-20 21-16 against Hermanth M. Gowda from India, while he beat Sander De Decker from Belgium 21-9 21-7 in the second round of the qualification.
Joshua Magee of Ireland was seeded in the qualification, but Král pulled off an upset and won 21-17 21-10 against the Irish.
Happy and tired
Three victories mean that Král is now ready for the main draw where he will play Lucas Claerbout from France.
- I am really happy with my performance today. I am really tired, but I found my rhythm on court. In Ukraine two weeks ago, I lost in the first round and I did not play as good as I did today.
- I have not thought about tomorrow. I will go back to hotel now and rest, and then I will make a good game plan with my coach, Král says.
