About 2.500 students from the province of Huelva have filled this morning the 'Carolina Marín' Sports Hall at the start of the European Badminton Championships, which will be held in the capital of Huelva until next Sunday, April 29.

Primary and Secondary school students have witnessed the first matches of the Championship and have also had fun through badminton, thanks to the activities programmed in the Fan Zone, next to the Sports Palace. There they have also been able to take photos with 'Chokyto', the official mascot of the contest. The Fan Zone is included in the Badminton+ program of Spanish Badminton and in Shuttle Time program of the Badminton World Federation.

Over the next few days, the organization of the Championships has arranged the visit of more than 50 schools from Huelva, as well as other Andalusian provinces that have shown their interest in bringing children to this sporting event.

However, the Fan Zone, which opens its doors daily one hour before games, offers young and old alike the opportunity to learn more about badminton in a fun and even competitive way.

The Fan Zone promises to increase its activity on the weekend, before the semifinal and final stages.
