Stefani Stoeva and her sister Gabriella are one of the biggest favourites before the Individual European Championships in Huelva, and they hope to be on the top at the end.

Stefani/Gabriella Stoeva are seeded as number two in women’s doubles at the Individual European Championships, and the Bulgarian pair has big ambitions before the tournament.

- Our expectations are very high of course, but we will be focused on each match and do it step by step. To represent our country is a big thing. We will try to see our flag again but hope this time to be on the top, says Stefani Stoeva to Badminton Europe.

Don’t feel the pressure

Even though they are one of the biggest favourites, Stefani Stoeva, doesn’t feel the pressure. Instead they are trying to keep focussing on playing well.

- It’s pressure yes but we try not to think so much of that and to focus for our matches. The first match is the toughest one, so we will try to be on 100% and try to play our best.

- The strongest thing in our game is that we are supporting each other on court and we are playing as one and I think this is helping us a lot against the strongest pairs.

When asked to comment about their rivals from the tournament Stoeva mentioned that they see every opponent as a challenge and that they believe that all the games will be tough.

- For us every pair is big rivals there is no easy match at the European Championships, ends Stefani Stoeva.

The Individual European Championships is taking part from next Tuesday.
