This edition of ´European Para-Badminton Towards Tokyo 2020´ features Dina Abouzeid Sariñena, National Para-Badminton Coach of Spain.
Sariñena is an ambitious coach and a former badminton player. She started to play badminton 19 years ago, when she was 10 and this led her to where she is today.
Not only does she coach badminton, she has also been focused in coaching para-badminton since 2009.

Everything changed since we started
When asked about how she sees the development of para-badminton from since she started until now, Sariñena stated that everything improved a lot over the time. “Everything changed since we started. It was very difficult at the beginning. There was no funding, and now that we belong to the Spanish Badminton Federation, it’s different.”

Improving her coaching skills
Dina Sariñena is always eager to be a better coach and thus she is trying to improve her skills by participating at several para-badminton coaching courses organized by Badminton Europe (BEC) and Badminton World Federation (BWF). Her latest participation was of the 2017 BEC Para-Badminton Event, hosted by Badminton Ireland, in November 2017. Apart from improving her coaching skills, she also delivers courses back in Spain.
