Host nation Russia were today drawn against both Bulgaria and Iceland in Group 3 at the 2013 European Mixed Team Championship at Sport Hall Borisoglebsky in Ramenskoye, Russia from February 12-17, 2013.
Denmark, the defending champions and 13-time winners, will face Norway and Turkey in Group 1 while Germany, who are seeded second ahead of Russia, will meet Estonia and Spain in Group 2.
England, who have been the champion nation five times, will face Lithuania and Latvia in Group 4. The Netherlands will face Hungary and Switzerland in Group 5. Luxembourg complete the group.
France, Finland, Ireland and Israel were drawn into Group 6 while former champion Sweden (1992 and 1994) will face Belgium, Ukraine and Belarus in Group 7. Group 8 will see a real British clash between Scotland and Wales. Slovakia and the Czech Republic complete the group.
The group winners will proceed to the quarter-final knockout stages, starting Friday, February 15.
A total of 28 nations (Italy withdrew from the competition) confirmed their entries for the tournament taking place in the town of Ramenskoye, 25 kilometers outside Moscow.
