Russia booking ticket to the semi-finals

The hosts are ready to be part of the weekend schedule.

The opening women’s singles between Evgenia Kosetskaya and Linda Zetchiri was one of the most intense matches during the whole tournament. The Russian won the first game 21-16, while Zetchiri claimed the second 21-13.

A three-point lead for Kosetskaya in the third set was crucial for the Russian, and after 50 minutes of play she made it 1-0 for the hosting nation.

The pressure now was on Bulgarian Mariya Mitsova. For the second time over-all the Bulgarian met Russian Natalia Perminova and for the second time Perminova came out victorious. This time 21-18 7-21 21-18.

- I am so tired now. I was a very hard match, but I just so happy, that I manage to win, Perminova says.

Stoevas had to fight for it
The Stoeva Sisters were under pressure against Chervyakova and Morozova but manage to win 21-9 19-21 21-9 winning the first match for Bulgaria.

- We lost a little focus in the second game, and that’s why we lost the second game, but we managed to get back to our game, Stefani Stoeva says.

But Bulgaria did not manage to take the victory. Russia is ready for the semi-finals after a 3-1 win against Bulgaria after Anastasiia Pustionskaia won her match against Maria Delcheva 21-19 21-14.
