- I was more patience than him. I tried not to play flat, because I know he is good in that part of the game. It was an important victory. Also, for me. It is the first time I am the first men’s singles, Michal Rogalski says.

Important victory
In the second men’s singles Adrian Dziolko repeated his victory from Lagos International 2015 against Czech Milan Ludik winning 15-21 21-19 21-17 bringing Poland to a 2-0 lead.

Czech history written
It is the first time ever, that Czech Republic qualify for the knock out stage in a senior European Team Championship.

- I am very proud of the team for the work, they have done. We were very close to losing several matches against Portugal and Italy, and we even had to defend several match points, and still we manage to win two times 5-0, which helped us qualify for the quarter-finals, Sports Director of Czech Badminton Federation Pavel Florian says.

Poland won the two men’s doubles winning the tie 4-1. The draw will be conducted Thursday evening after the last session.
