The former European Champion is back after a foot injury. The comeback came today in Kazan – the city where he claimed his European title in 2014.
For almost eight months the former World number two has been on the side line. Now he is back.
- The last year has been horrible. It has been very hard, and at some moments I was thinking about quitting it all. It is like a second chance standing here, Jan Ø. Jørgensen says.

Swiss in focus
Jørgensen says, that it is the love of the game, that convinced him not to quite, but also the hunt for victories and titles.

- I had the feeling, that I haven’t reached my full potential, and I still have more to do. Swiss Open next week is my only individual focus right now. Of course, All England is in the back of my mind. I have a final there a few years back, and I want to be on that big stage again, but maybe it is a little far out, Jørgensen says.
Jan Ø. Jørgensen made his comeback in the first group match for Denmark during the 2018 European Men’s & Women’s Championships against Israel. Jørgensen won his match against Maxin Grinblat 21-4 21-12.
