The british badmintonplayer, Sam Parsons, won Iceland International 2018 after a win in two games against Bodhit Joshi from India, and he is very happy about the victory.

Iceland International 2018 is over, and in men’s singles won Sam Parsons from England in two games against Bodhit Joshi with 21-14/21-17. After the tournament Sam tells that he is very happy about the tournament and his own performance in Iceland.

- I had a good tournament in Iceland where I claimed my fourth senior international title. In the earlier rounds of the tournament I did not play my highest level of badminton, but once I reached the quarter final I was more consistent and was playing with more confidence which showed in my performance, said Sam Parsons to Badminton Europe and adds:

- I think that the tournament in Iceland was a great tournament in general, it was very well organised and run. The Icelandic people were very friendly and I would love to visit and play the tournament again.

More focus on the training
In the next future will Sam Parsons like to have more focus on his training with his trainers, and he says that he has to work hard. He also tells a little bit about his goals in the next future.

- I seem to have settled into my new training environment at Loughborough university after losing funding from badminton England in 2017. My coaches Steve Butler, Atu Sagita and Mike Adams at Loughborough University have really had a positive impact on my progression.

- I have plenty more goals and aim to make a name for myself by winning more IS level tournaments and start to get to the later rounds of IC tournaments, ends Sam Parsons.
