Iceland International 2018 is waiting for us, and the tournament will start by tomorrow. One of the participations are the European U17 Champion Hope Warner, who is looking forward to the tournament in Iceland.
The European U17 Champion, Hope Warner, is looking forward to the Iceland International. She will only participate in women’s doubles, but she still thinks that it will be a challenge for here to keeping her good level in the tournament.
- I think the biggest challenge in Iceland is going to be keeping my level consistent, and my support high for my partner, so that we can both perform as well as possible, says Hope Warner to Badminton Europe.
In 2017 Hope Warner won the European U17 Championships in mixed doubles, but she doesn’t feel any pressure on her shoulders, even she has the title as European Champion.
- I don’t feel under any pressure. I am very happy to have won the European U17 Championships, and I’m only looking to go upwards from here and to keep improving.
Hope Warner underlines that the main focus is on her performance together with her partner in women’s doubles, and that is the most important for the European Champion.
- I want to be able to perform as well, as I can and hopefully win some games. I’m only playing women’s doubles at this tournament, so my focus is completely on this.
- Almost all of the players are seniors, and I haven’t played against most of them, so I’m just going into the tournament focusing on myself and my partner, ends Hope Warner.
Hope Warner will play her first game in women’s doubles on Friday with her partner Grace King.
