Mariya Mitsova from Bulgaria is seeded second in Yonex Estonian International, and she is also ready to play in the quarter-finals after beating Ayla Huser from Switzerland in the second round 21-16 21-9.

- My attack is pretty well. The hall is perfect - not too big and not too small. I like to play fast and attacking, so it is working good for me here, Mitsova tells Badminton Europe after her second-round win.

- I honestly expected to go to the quarter-finals, because I am seeded second in this tournament, but I feel the pressure. It is not often, I am seeded second, and I am still working on climbing up the world ranking. I will be seeded in more tournaments, so I have to handle it, Mitsova says.

European Championships medal in focus
The Bulgarian, who won the tournament in 2017 in women’s doubles alongside Petya Nedelcheva, believe that Yonex Estonian International can be the beginning of a good year for her.

- My main goal of the year is the European Championships. I am hoping for a quarter-final there, but first I hope that I can be in top eight, so I can have a seeding, Mitsova says.

Will Yonex Estonian International be the perfect start of the season for you?

- I hope so. I will really do my best.
