Rasmus Bech (30) will be the new Communication Manager at Badminton Europe. Bech is leaving his post as editor at TV 2 NEWS in Denmark to become a new member of the Badminton Europe office.

Rasmus Bech has a background in sports and in particular badminton. From 2008-2013 he worked as communication assistant at Badminton Denmark, and at the same time he was commentator at the Danish TV 3 SPORT, where he was part of the team covering the Thomas/Uber Cup Finals, the World Championships, the BWF Super Series and the Sudirman Cup.

- I’m looking forward to begin a new and exciting chapter. I am looking forward to go back to the sport that I love, and I’m looking forward to work with people who love the sport as much as I do.

And Rasmus Bech has ambitions:

- Badminton is a worldwide sport, and I want to show Europe, that badminton is the greatest sport in the world. I can’t imagine a better place to promote badminton. You don’t get more expertise about badminton than in Badminton Europe and the national associations. And in Europe we have the worldwide superstars on court and a lot of upcoming stars. I can’t wait to get going.

Brian Agerbak, General Secretary of Badminton Europe, is pleased, that Rasmus Bech will join the Confederation.

- Our new Communication Manager surely brings in a wealth of experience, given his background and his passion for the sport. Despite not having been working in badminton the last couple of years, he has all along followed the world circuit closely, and you will not find many being so much “on the ball” as he is. With Rasmus joining the office, I am certain that Badminton Europe will strengthen its communication profile, with the ambition to become the best badminton media platform in the world.

Rasmus Bech will have his first day at the Badminton Europe office September 1st.
