Today, Badminton Europe (BEC) has launched an app dedicated to the 2017 European Championships. The application is available, free of charge, in AppStore. Search for “European badminton Championships 2017” to download the app for iOS phones.
Launched the day before the 26th European Championships begins, Badminton Europe offers the spectators and fans easy access to the action and results at the tournament.
The app will provide the latest news and articles, live score, order of play and schedule for each day, photos and videos, including a player data base. A handy tool for the spectators at Sydbank Arena and the fans watching from all over Europe.
Features tab by tab
The application is divided into five tabs which are in the bottom of the frame. This allows the fan to navigate easy through the content while still maintaining an overview.
Daily news articles and live score will be the first feature the fan will discover after downloading the app. In the media tab, photo galleries will be available, as on the Facebook of BEC, and below them videos made up of short clips from the tournament and videos from BE.TV (Badminton Europe’s YouTube).
“Matches” serves as the schedule and order of play. Go here to find out when a certain match is scheduled to commence, and, who is playing who and when. It will also be in this tab that the results for each match can be found.
In the player database, the fans can search for all the qualified players. By clicking on a player, the fan will be able to see when the players have his or her next match coming up. Furthermore, a profile stating the current and best ranking, winning statistics, date of birth and other information. Direct links to the player’s social media can be found in the bottom. A perfect feature for the fan who wants all the full experience. Many of the European players are active on social media and will allow the fans to get a look at their life in badminton.
Badminton Europe has even made it easy for fans to favourite a player by clicking on the star in the top right corner on the profile. All the favourited players can be easily accessed from the main page by clicking on the yellow star.
The last tab resembles a speech bubble and links to
Tickermaster where tickets to #EC17 can be purchased.
The app has been delayed for Android, but will be available on Google Play very soon.
