Knowledge was gained while new friendships and contacts were made in Beek more than three weeks ago when Badminton Europe (BEC) delivered the 2nd BEC Para-Badminton Education Course from 21-23 October 2016. BEC spoke to some of the participants and captured the different activities during the course. Enjoy the video!

´The past two editions of the BEC Para-Badminton Education Course saw a total of 75 coaches participating from 26 countries. We hope that the interest to participate will increase for the next edition in 2017. We are already in the process of looking for host for next year. The official ´Invitation to Host´ letter will be sent to all our Member Associations in January 2017´, stated Tania Teoh, BEC Junior Manager.

Quotes from participating coaches

´Enjoyed mix between theory and delivery - presenters covered all bases very well´. Fraser Mitchie (SCO)

´The fact that you had the chance to meet and network with a lot of people, was the most interesting and important part of the course for me´. Tamara Geeraerts (BEL)

´Maybe a bit more about how to train with beginners and share more exercises and games with other coaches in the development group´. Javier Martínez (ESP)

´Clearly from my responses I was very impressed with the course content. The case studies from Turkey and Spain were excellent. Alan Oliver's perspective as a player was very interesting´. Will Mellersh (ENG)

Alina Michaela Popa (ROM) and Mitko Chavdorav (BUL) who are from new participating countries and Annie van Daal-Pothoff (NED), second time participant were also interviewed. Watch the video again to listen to their interviews.
