Badminton Greenland (Badminton Kalaallit Nunaat), the most western Member Association of Badminton Europe, participated in the 2014 Arctic Winter Games held in Fairbanks, Alaska. Greenland was represented with 4 junior players (U19), 4 juvenile (U16), 2 team managers and 3 umpires.

Greenland already had a great record of medals at the Arctic Winter Games. And thanks to the performances from last week, Greenland could even strengthen their medal records at this Multisports event.
Greenland won all badminton gold medals, plus 4 silver and 1 bronze medal.

There are 16 badminton clubs in Greenland with more than 1400 licensed players. A great number if you look at the total population of about 55.000 people.

Greenland (Greenlandic: Kalaallit Nunaat) is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark, located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago.
