The 2014 European U17 Team Championships kicked off with the group matches last weekend in Ankara, Turkey. The last group matches have been played tonight (18.00 session) to find the quarter-finalists.
Title holder Denmark topped the group 1 with straight victories over Austria and Lithuania (5-0), but struggled against Estonia. The East-Europeans pushed the top seeded team from Scandinavia to the absolute limit only losing out 2-3 in what was a real battle. The tie was decided in the very last match.
England had a tough opener against Sweden (3-2) but then cruised through to the group stages with two easy 5-0 victories over Ukraine and Norway. The Brits, who are the second seeds in Ankara, are now facing Team Germany in tomorrow's quarter-finals.
Host nation Turkey will play Sweden for a ticket in the semi-finals. Russia, who advanced to the last 8 stage with wins over Italy, Spain and Czech Republic, are up against France.

Turkey vs Sweden
England vs Germany
The quarter-finals will commence tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10.00 local time. Followed by the semi-finals at 16.00.
