Badminton Europe is seeking an Events Officer for a full-time position to join its office in Copenhagen, Denmark. 
 
Events Officer – Badminton Europe
Badminton Europe is the Continental Confederation administering the sport of badminton in Europe. There are currently 16 full time employees backing up an elected Board of Directors servicing our 53 Members. Information on the organization can be found here: http://www.badmintoneurope.com  
 
The Events Officer will be reporting to the Events Manager. The work will include some travelling and some flexibility in working hours will be required.
 
The Events Officer will be working with the general management and coordination of Badminton Europe’s Major Events, its International Circuit, Junior Circuit and U17 Circuit and European Technical Officials. Furthermore, involvement in Badminton Europe’s website project and tournament management system can be expected.

  • Support the Major Events area potentially being in charge of particular Events
  • Liaison with Major Events organizers
  • Execution of Major Events
Circuits
  • Management of one or more Circuits
  • Participating in developing Badminton Europe’s events related digital projects
Technical Officials
  • Management of elements of the Technical Officials area
Qualifications
  • You have experience working with events or project management
  • You have experience in managing IT projects is an advantage 
  • You have genuine interest in badminton (prior experience in a badminton organisation is an advantage)
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
  • You have initiative and personal drive
  • You can work and deliver within deadlines
  • You are comfortable working with Microsoft Office
The successful candidate will have to re-locate to Copenhagen and should have the necessary work permission in the EU to be considered for the job.
