The Round of 16 at the YONEX All England Open 2024 saw four strong victories from European players, propelling them into the quarterfinals.

Netherlands' Robin Tabeling/ Selena Piek are displaying a top-notch form. Moving past an early exit at the French Open and a semi-final placement at the German Open just before that, the duo continue their power streak, securing a spot in the quarterfinals by overcoming Malaysia’s Chen Tang Jie/ Toh Ee Wei in the Super 1000 tournament.

The men’s singles quarterfinals will feature two Europeans. Viktor Axelsen, aiming for his fourth All England podium finish, advanced by defeating China’s Weng Hong Yang. Christo Popov reached his first Super 1000 men’s singles quarterfinal after outplaying Chinese Taipei’s Su Li Yang.

Spain’s Carolina Marin, fifth seeded, also made it through, setting up a challenging quarterfinal match against China’s Chen Yu Fei following her win over Wang Zhi Yi.
