Meet Niklas Pedersen, our new Events Manager at Badminton Europe.

"I am from Denmark, currently living in Måløv, and grew up in Greve. I speak Danish and English."

With a bachelor's degree in sports management, specializing in events, Niklas wrote his final thesis on voluntarism in badminton. His seven-year journey with Badminton Denmark, preceded by three years of volunteer work, showcases a deep commitment to the sport.

"Events are our window to the world, our way of showcasing our sport to the world. I love being a part of that." Niklas's joy lies in working with professionals and volunteers who share his passion for badminton, considering events as a platform to connect with the global badminton community.

In his free time, he enjoys playing various sports such as badminton, padel, and football. His recreational badminton roots trace back to Greve Strand Badminton club, where Kenneth Jonassen became his favorite player for his drive and fighting spirit.

While badminton remains a core passion, Niklas also follows football, especially the English Premier League, with a soft spot for Newcastle.

"My ambition is to be part of furthering badminton as a sport, through events." Niklas looks forward to learning and sharing experiences with hosts across Europe to create some of the best events in sports.
