After the success of the last edition that took place two years ago in Kyiv (Ukraine), the city of Pécs (Hungary), offers its outstanding facilities to warmly welcome participants and tutors from 11-17 September 2023 to the RSL BWF/BEC Fast Track L1+L2 Course.

13 participants representing 12 different European countries have decided to take one step further in their professional backgrounds and continue shaping their coaching paths.

Mari Carmen Casermeiro, BEC Development and High-Performance officer explains, “The main difference with the regular coaching education courses delivered is that the Fast Track course encompasses two coaching levels, L1 & L2 in one go. Hence, the fact of targeting professional badminton players or former players is purposely arranged so that they can use and take advantage of their already acquired knowledge about badminton throughout their entire careers”.

A wide range of topics such as coaching philosophy, hitting skills, tactics, psychology, and annual planning among others will be covered during these seven busy days. Martijn van Dooremalem, from The Netherlands together with Joann Hughes, from England, will take the lead and guide participants through these exciting days.

“It’s great to have such a group of young coaches from all over the world. They have very different backgrounds and I really hope they can learn from each other,” Martijn van Dooremalen, RSL BWF/BEC Fast track L1+L2 Course tutor states. “A lot of players usually coach in the way they’ve always been coaching and that’s not what we want in this course — we want to make them think in an open-minded way and see the individual differences and uniqueness of every player.”

Get ready for an exciting badminton coaching journey with the RSL BWF/BEC Fast Track L1+L2 Course!
