The Badminton Coach Education Course in Oviedo, Spain was an absolute success. The 14 coaches passed the course and demonstrated an ongoing development throughout the three-day course.

”I saw a remarkable growth in their coaching abilities and I am confident that they will make a positive impact on their players. Their enthusiasm for the sport of badminton was contagious. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented group of coaches, tutors, and great organization,” Maja Kersnik, tutor of the course, explained.

The course covered a wide range of topics providing the coaches with a comprehensive understanding of the basis of coaching badminton. Communication, feedback strategies, tactics, movement, hitting skills, and coaching philosophy were some of the main topics discussed.

”I am very happy with the course. It has helped me to hone my coaching skills and gain valuable insights. The tutors were extremely supportive and provided me with useful feedback that has helped me become a more effective coach,” Kornelija  Urbonaviciute, a participant from Lithuania stated.

The course also gave the opportunity to a shadow tutor to follow first-hand how to organise, plan, and deliver a BWF Coach Education Level 1 Course. Victoria Korobova, shadow tutor of the course, shared her experience in her new role.

“I extend my sincere gratitude to Badminton Europe for this wonderful opportunity to shadow these professional tutors. Hopefully, this is the beginning of my career as a tutor.”

Oviedo puts closure to another RSL BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 1 course and gives the floor to the upcoming RSL BWF/BEC Tutor Education Level 1 Course that will be happening from 12 until 14 May in Haarlem, Netherlands.
