The 2023 European Mixed Team Championships Qualification is back this year and will be held from December 15-18. This time 26 countries are participating and will be divided into five qualification groups which will be played in five different locations.

In Group 1, England, Poland, Norway, and Slovakia are the four countries competing from December 16th to 18th. Only the winner of each group will qualify for the European Mixed Team Championships 2023 (EMTC) which will be hosted in Aire-sur-la-Lys, France, in February.

Many prominent players will take part in the different qualification groups with Carolina Marin being the biggest name on the list. The three-time World Champion will lead the Spanish team in Group 3.

On the 15th of December, Group 2 starts the competition at 14:00 (CET). In this group, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, and Estonia will compete in Haarlem, Netherlands.

In Group 3, six countries are separated into two subgroups: Spain, Iceland, and Switzerland are part of Subgroup 1, and Greenland, Hungary, and Ukraine form Subgroup 2. On the last day of the qualification stage, the best of the two subgroups will face each other for the final round.

Group 4 also consists of two subgroups. Scotland, Luxembourg, and the Czech Republic are in the first, and Ireland, Portugal, and Sweden are in the second. The National Badminton Academy is hosting Group 4 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The final six countries are part of Group 5, held in Sofia, Bulgaria. Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Belgium are part of Subgroup 1, and Austria, Finland, and Lithuania form Subgroup 2. Same as with Groups 3 and 4, in Group 5 the winners of Subgroup 1 and Subgroup 2 will compete on the final day to determine who will qualify for the EMTC 2023.

The 2023 European Mixed Team Championships will take place in Aire-sur-la-Lys, France, from February 14th to 18th. The eight best European countries will play against each other to select the best national mixed team in Europe. Already qualified are Denmark and Germany as well as the host France.
