The European Senior Championships are back in full force after a four-year break. This year's edition will be taking place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 7 until 13 August.

The 2022 European Senior Championships are happening now in Ljubljana, Slovenia. From 7 to 13 August, players that are over 35 years old will be playing in their selected age group in the tournament that is held every two years since 1995 and that determines the best Veteran badminton players in Europe.

The nine age groups are separated with a five-year gap between them, from the age 35+ to 75+. Every group has five events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Only the latter group, 75+, has just three - men’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

After a four-year break, Badminton Europe is organising this cheerful event yet again, with more than one thousand participants taking part in it. The first matches of the tournament started yesterday at 8AM, with players from all over the continent.
