The VICTOR Denmark Masters comes to an end with two of the five titles going to European athletes.
It was a rematch of the Slovenia Open semifinals that took place just weeks ago. Top seeds Rohan Kapoor and Reddy Sikki met again with Mads Vestergaard and Christine Busch. The Indian duo went confidently into the match, leading the head-to-head 1-1 as they had beat the Danes in the recent encounter.
Kapoor and Reddi sealed the win in straight games, 21-16 21-17, against the Danish pair. However, the home crowd still had one more pair to cheer for. Rasmus Kjær and Frederik Søgaard continued their strike of solid wins at the Royal Stage, Hillerød, this week with a fantastic win against Chinese Taipei’s Ming Che Lu and Tang Kai Wei, 21-5 21-16. This title is the first of the year for the Danish duo.
Gold for Kuuba
Another athlete that has had an amazing week is Kristin Kuuba. The Estonian player has had to get through some tough matches in the tournament but still, she showed her strengths after a long week of competition.
The long days had also taken a toll on Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi, but the Indonesian player gave it her all in what was the longest match of the finals day. The Indonesian player won the first game but Kuuba went on to strike back and eventually take the win, 16-21, 21-16, 21-10
