Helle Sofie Sagøy and Jack Shephard/ Rachel Choong clinched back-to-back titles in two consecutive weeks at para badminton tournaments in Spain.

After a successful run at the Level 2 tournament in Vitoria, northern Spain, the action moved to Toledo for the Spanish Para Badminton International 2024 – I, held from 23 to 27 April.

It was a particularly successful two weeks for Sagøy, who once again captured the women's singles SL 4 title. Similarly, Shephard/ Choong repeated their previous week’s victory by securing the SH 6 title again. They are now both number one in the world ranking.

France's Lucas Mazur, another world number one, continued his dominance by winning the title in the men’s singles SL 4 category. He also secured a silver medal alongside Faustine Noel in the mixed doubles SL 3 - SU 5 category, where they were the top seeds. Additionally, Türkiye’s Emine Seckin, second seeded, triumphed in the women’s singles WH 2 category.
