The 2024 European Championships starts today, that means we’ll get the first taste of the court, venue, and the competition. Here we will share the matches forward to the most today.

The day will be exclusively for men’s singles and women’s singles, and it will feature all the round of 64 matches.

Men’s Singles
On Court 1 we start the day with a Scandinavian clash between Kalle Koljonen (FIN) vs Gustav Bjorkler (SWE) who will each fight to carry their nation towards the round of 32 where they will meet Aria Dinata (CRO).

Later in the evening, Fabian Roth (GER) will be taking centre stage. He will be the crowd’s most anticipated player on the first day and try to keep the German spirit up after two unfortunate early pull-outs due to injuries. However, that will be no small feat as he is facing Luka Wraber (AUT) who is rated 128 in the world rankings in opposition to Roth’s 86th placement. They have never faced each other before, so it will be an intriguing match.

Women’s singles
In the last match in the evening, in the women’s singles category, Léonice HUET challenges Heli NEIMAN (ISR). The winner will face Wiktoria DABCZYNSKA (POL) in the Round of 32. It will be a fantastic opportunity for both players to advance to a deeper stage in the tournament and cement their names in the European badminton scene.

We are excited to see what the whole evening will bring.
