Europe experienced a mix of triumphs and a notable defeat in the All England quarterfinals.

Viktor Axelsen faced a challenging match against Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. After winning the first game convincingly 8-21, Axelsen found Ginting resilient, as the Indonesian fought back to claim victory, 21-18 21-19, eliminating the tournament's top seed.

But Europe's presence in the men’s singles semifinals is assured thanks to Christo Popov's impressive win. Popov's victory over Japan's Koki Watanabe, who had previously beaten his brother, marks a significant milestone.

Dutch duo Robin Tabeling/ Selena Piek secured a hard-fought victory in straight sets against Chinese Taipei's Ye Hong Wei/ Lee Chia Hsin, 11-21, 21-19, 21-19. Carolina Marin showcased her top form by defeating China’s second-seeded Chen Yu Fei, 21-17 21-15.

The semifinals are starting tomorrow at 11am (CET).
