It’s time for the quarterfinals

Players will now compete for a spot in the semifinals to be played tomorrow on what will be the last day of the tournament, with the finals taking place on the same day. 

There were important wins to fight for today at the YONEX Bonn International. The Round of 16 has just finished and now, the victorious players will have to compete for their spot in the semifinals of the Future Series tournament. 

The top-seeded mixed doubles duo Brian Wassink and Alyssa Tirtosentono (Netherlands) advanced to the quarterfinals, as they won their last match 23-25, 21-12, 21-14 versus Baptiste Labarthe and Camille Pognante (France). Later today, the Dutch pair will face Tom Trescarte and Elsa Jacob, from France. 

Malik Bourakkadi and Leona Michalski, the third seeds from Germany, also secured their spot in the upcoming quarterfinals by winning 21-5 21-17 against Miklos Kis-Kasza and Nikol Vetor (Hungary).  

Zack Bobrowski, from England, lost to the German top seed Matthias Kicklitz 16-21 18-21. Kicklitz will face Henrikho Kho Wibowo, from Poland, later today.
