With exactly nineteen days left to qualify for the 2023 European Games, we take a look at the latest changes in the list of currently qualified players.

In less than three weeks, we will already have the final list of players who would qualify for the 2023 European Games. There’s not much time left to know who will make the cut but with the busy weeks ahead, we will see some players going in and out of the list.

Latest changes
While there have been no changes in the men’s doubles and women’s doubles eligible pairs, there has been some movement in the other lists.

In men’s singles, Luxembourg’s Jerome Pauquet has moved into the 30th spot, meaning that Moldova’s Cristian Savin is now out. In women’s singles, Keisha Fatimah Az Zahra replaces Era Maftuha as Azerbaijan’s eligible player as she has overtaken her countrymate in the ranking.

Bulgaria’s Iliyan Stoynov/ Hristomira Popovska move into the 13th spot which means that Slovakia’s Milan Dratva/ Katarina Vargova go out of the list. The Bulgarian pair already had enough points to qualify two weeks ago but as of then; however, they had only played two tournaments since 28 March 2022 and they must have played a minimum of three to be eligible for the 2023 European Games according to the regulations of the event.

Stoynov/ Popovska competed at the Uganda International Challenge 2023 two weeks ago. The Bulgarian duo did not just secure a bronze medal at the tournament but also got to provisionally qualify for the European Games, this being their third tournament counting toward the qualification.

Who is currently qualified for the 2023 European Games?
Find below the lists of players qualified in each event for the 2023 European Games based on the BWF World Rankings of 7 March 2023 — universality places and 2022 EYOF places have not been added at this stage.
