Carolina Marin, who has performed strongly the whole week, has marched into the final with a 21-10, 21-8 win against Qi Xuefei of France. Marin speaks about how she feels her form is looking.

-I feel really happy with how I could play today. For me this tournament is just to improve my game. I think I am doing really good, so I am looking forward to the final tomorrow and I will do my best.

Keep my focus in my game plan
It has been smooth sailing for the Spaniard on her route to the final, with no opponent managing to get more than 15 points in a game against her. Marin explains what keeps her motivated in Milan.

-Mainly I just keep my focus in my game plan. I look at the themes that I am working to improve on and practise them in my games here. I just have to keep going, keep practising all of those things. Then it lets me know if I am doing good or I will have to change something.

Marin will now play India’s Rituparna Das in the final, who defeated two seeded players along the way.
