The fifth BEC Para badminton Event will take place in Kiev from 4-6 October where administrators and coaches from nine member associations will gather to learn more about Para badminton.

Administrators will be exposed to the integration of Para badminton in their national federations while coaches will go through the BWF Coaches Manual - Module 13 on coaching players with disabilities.

A warm welcome

After successfully organizing the 2019 BEC Congress in April this year, the Ukrainian Badminton Federation is all excited to organize more Badminton Europe (BEC) activities. Now just six months after, BEC is back in Kiev, and President of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation, Oleksii Dniprov, is welcoming all participants in the video below:

The presenters

This time in Kiev three presenters will work closely with the participants:

Administrators – Tania Teoh (High Performance and Development Manager, Badminton Europe)

Coaches – Kaity Hall (SCO) and Anton Ivanov (RUS)

Badminton Europe Manager Tania Teoh said:

´This is the fifth consecutive year that BEC is organizing the Para badminton event. We organized this event in the Netherlands (Veenendaal & Beek), Ireland (Belfast, Northern Ireland) and Austria (Vienna) since 2015 and to have this event hosted by a new member association in Kiev, means that the Ukrainian Badminton Federation is taking the integration of Para badminton very seriously.

It is equally motivating to see new MAs (Estonia, Latvia and Ukraine) sending participants for the first time to the event. I look forward to meeting all the participants in Kiev and I urge all other member associations to also take up the challenge of integrating Para badminton in their federations´.
