European stars in the German Open

The YONEX German Open 2019 gets underway this Tuesday, in Muelheim an der Ruhr and will continue until Sunday 3rd.

The first round of the qualification starts tomorrow and lots of capable European players will be fighting for one spot in the main draw. 

In this BWF World Tour Super 300 event, it is remarkable that all the number one seeds in every category are dominated by Japanese players. 

Men's Singles: aray of European players

In the first round of the Men's Singles, the World's number one Kento Momota from Japan will face Wang Tzu Wei from Tapei. 

However, Europe will be represented in this tournament by many players. 

Brice Leverdez and Toma Junior Popov from France will fight in the main draw against Wong Wing Ki Vincent from Hong Kong and the Chinese Zhao Junpeng respectively.

Victor Svendsen from Denmark will also play in this event. The Dutch Mark Caljouw and Misha Zilberman from Israel will participate, in hopes to move on in this important event.

On the other side of the draw, we will have the chance to watch an interesting fight between two Europeans, Lucas Corvee from France playing against the Dane Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus.   
Danish victory again in the Women's Singles? 

The winner of the Barcelona Spain Masters 2019 Mia Blichfeldt from Denmark plays against Deng Joy Xuan from Hong Kong. While, her compatriot, runner up of the Barcelona Spain Masters 2019,  Line Højmark Kjaersfeldt meets the Japanese number one Nozomi Okuhara. The two Danes are in excellent form and hope to have as good results as they had last week. 

Yvonne Li from the host country is also playing in this tournament and will face the Indonesian Lyanny Alessandra Mainaky.

Strong perceptive in Doubles for hosts?

The hosts look very strong and hope to move forward in this tournament.

In the category of the Men's Doubles, Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel from Germany will fight with the support of the German crowd.

On the other hand, the Danish Champions Mathias Bay-Smidt and Lasse Mølhede will play against Lu Ching Yao and Yang Po Han from Taipei.

In the Mixed Doubles, Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich are going to put on a spectacle to the German crowd, fighting in their home country against the number two seeds Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai from Thailand.

Besides, two European meetings will make this tournament even more interesting. The host pair Marvin Seidel and Linda Efler will play against the Danes Mikkel Mikkelsen and Mai Surrow. Whereas, Jacco Arends and Cheryl Seinen from the Netherlands will meet the Russian pair Rodion Alimov and Alina Davletova.

In the Women's Doubles, the European Champions Gabriela Stoeva and Stefani Stoeva from Bulgaria, are seeded as number seven and will meet the Canadian Rachel Honderich and Kristen Tsai.
