Who will play against who in Copenhagen?

From 13-17 February, the European Mixed Team Championships will get underway in Copenhagen, Denmark. Stay tuned for the live draw on Thursday! 

Eight teams are qualified for the European Mixed Team Championships in 2019: Denmark, England, Spain, France, Russia, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands.

As the defending Champion and host, Team Denmark is seeded number one. England as the number-two-seed is one of four teams that is represented in the second group. 

When and where to follow the live draw

The draw for the European Mixed Team Championship 2019 will get underway tomorrow at 2.00 PM (CET) and will be shown live on Badminton Europe’s Facebook and Instagram channel. 

Jimmy Andersen, Senior Manager at Badminton Europe, is looking forward to the draw and the final event in February: 

- We saw great competitions in the qualification last week. Now, we finally found our eight teams that are going to Copenhagen. Some of the teams were expected to qualify, and some were a little bit surprising, he said. 

Europe’s elite is coming to Denmark

The event that will take place in Frederiksberg Hallerne from 13-17 February. Top players such as Viktor Axelsen, Carolina Marin and Chris & Gabrielle Adcock are expected to represent their home countries in the event.

- I think we have a very competitive field of teams in Europe, the biggest stars from Europe will be at the event. We are looking forward to seeing tomorrow’s draw to know the schedule of the matches, so we can really focus on the individual matches, Andersen said.
