Smashy brings you the EMTC19 logo!

Badminton Europe is delighted to release the official logo of the European Mixed Team Championships.

The logo is made up of elements from the history of Denmark as well as an important feature from Badminton Europe, the mascot, Smashy.

The 2019 European Mixed Team Championships will take place from the 13-17 of February. Now Badminton Europe is proud to present the official logo of the Championships:

Communication Manager at Badminton Europe, Rasmus Bech, has been one of the people who has worked on the new logo, and he hopes that he can share the enjoyment of the logo with badminton fans around the continent.

- I am very happy for the logo, what has been created. The mascot Smashy is a key figure for Badminton Europe, and I am pleased, that we have included him in the logo, Bech said.

- Travelling in Europe and talking to a lot of people you often hear, that they think about the Vikings when they think about Denmark. That is the reason why, we decided to include this historical twist to the logo, Bech said.

- The future meets the past in the logo, and I hope that the European badminton fans will like it, and I am looking forward to see it at the venue for the Championships, he added.
