It has been one week after the European Championships. History has been made for Bulgaria and Gabriela & Stefani Stoeva had the honour to do so. They took the first European badminton gold medal ever for Bulgaria by winning the women’s doubles event.

- The feeling is amazing to win the first ever gold medal for Bulgaria!

- We could not realize what we did and we were like ‘’OMG did we just become the first Bulgarian european champions?!?’’

- We are very happy with this result and most of all: we could make our team who works with us proud.

No time for celebration

Gabriela and Stefani did not have time for celebration yet, as they had another important match to play: The French league final. Unfortunately it was not their club Issy-Les-Moulineaux BC ‘92 who took the victory, but Chambly BC. (Source: FFBAD)

However, even after this match there are other goals still to be achieved for the sisters.

- Our next goals are the World Championships, the BWF Super tour finals in China in December and to finish in top 10 of the world ranking!
