Badminton Europe had the pleasure to invite for a Press Conference on Saturday 20 October 2012 in Odense, Denmark. The main item was to announce the continued partnership between Badminton Europe and Yonex, who is the world’s biggest badminton brand, for a new four-year period. Badminton Europe and Yonex have been partners for already 8 years.

President Poul-Erik Høyer said that Badminton Europe was very happy to continue the partnership with Yonex. Yonex is the market leader and is known for their high quality products. These were trades that Badminton Europe as an organisation was pleased to identify with. Shuichi Yoneyama, Managing Director at Yonex, thanked Poul-Erik Høyer and gave his comments to the continued partnership. Yonex was very pleased to continue the relationship with Badminton Europe as Yonex wanted to be an active partner in developing badminton in Europe. Afterwards the new contract was officially signed by Poul-Erik Høyer and Shuichi Yoneyama.

A further item of the Press Conference was the current Office situation in Brøndby. As the current rent contract with the House of Sports expires and no suitable rooms could be found for the amount of Staff at the Office, Badminton Europe had to look for alternatives. From 1st of January Badminton Europe will rent a bigger office space.

Furthermore Poul-Erik Høyer, who is President since 2010, announced that he will seek re-election as Badminton Europe President at next year’s Badminton Europe Annual Delegates’s Meeting (ADM).
