Badminton Europe signs with YONEX until 2020

Birmingham, England (March 11th, 2016) – YONEX CO.,LTD. and the Badminton Europe Confederation (BEC) have signed a contract renewing their agreement to have YONEX act as the official equipment supplier for all BEC events. The four year agreement is set to commence on January 1st, 2017 until December 31st, 2020.

In addition to providing equipment for BEC tournaments, YONEX will provide stringing service at these tournaments, as well as run sales booths. Outside of tournaments, YONEX will provide badminton starter sets for European schools to support the development of badminton throughout the region.

The contract was signed during a ceremony held at the 2016 YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships, with the top officials from both organizations in attendance.  Representatives from YONEX included the President, Mr. Kusaki Hayashida and its Executive Managing Director, Mr. Shuichi Yoneyama. BEC representatives present were BEC President, Mr. Gregory Verpoorten, BEC Director, Mr. Kevin Scott and General Secretary, Mr. Brian Agerbak.
