If you are an aspiring coach and interested in pursuing a path of developing skills towards this goal, then we may just have something that you need to read. Your opportunity is now.

The EU funded Badminton Coaching Education project called ADVANCE began in early 2021 with the initial phase of the Training Needs Analysis. Partners of the project worked together to construct a 10-month Coaching Education course and an online European Badminton Coaching platform that will be free for participants.

The ADVANCE project partners are three Member Associations of Badminton Europe (BEC): The German Badminton Association, Badminton Scotland and Badminton Netherland. Two educational institutions, the University of Cyprus and the National University of Physical Education and Sports Bucharest together with the International Council for Coaching Excellence have also joined the project.

- We all come in with different backgrounds and different competencies. It is important to have badminton knowledge, but in terms of the research and the analysis, the academic background of our partners can really help us build a high-quality coaching course, Brian Agerbak, BEC General Secretary.

Who is it for?
The course is for anyone with a badminton background looking for a pathway into coaching, thus it will be versatile and cover a breadth of coaching areas. The top-quality research will make sure to use best practices from what is already established in terms of coach education in order to build a unique and holistic product.

The analysis will focus on getting information from different target groups such as coaches with different experiences, dual-career aspects for players who already have or intend to go the coaching pathway and educational managers from existing coaching systems.

Through the Erasmus+ Sport Collaborative Partnership program, the European Union support the project in the period from January 2021 until December 2023.

What should I do?
If you are interested in learning more about the course and how to register, please fill out our quick SIGN-UP FORM.

We will then keep you informed about the project and key dates. Also, spread the word far and wide to anyone else who may be interested in this great opportunity.
