The reigning Olympic Champion and three-time World Champion, Carolina Marin, is ready for the second round at Denmark Open 2020.

She was facing Natalia Perminova from Russia, world number 60, in her first match.

The first game went to Marin with a 21-7 win. In the second game Perminova succeed a little better and got to challenge Marin, but the third seed still managed to walk from court as the winner with 21-15 in the second game.

- I feel happy to be back, finally. The most important thing for us is our health and we have to try to enjoy being back on court, getting the competition feeling because we miss it, and to give our best in every game, Marin said.

Carolina vs. Line

Even though Marin won her match without problems, she does not feel that she played her best.

In the quarter final she will have a Danish opponent, as Line Christophersen and Line Højmark Kjaersfeldt will met other each later today to play for a spot in the second round against the Spanish star.
