Badminton Europe is seeking a Finance & Administration Officer for a full-time position to join its head office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Finance & Administration Officer

Badminton Europe is the Continental Confederation administering the sport of badminton in Europe. There are currently 16 full-time employees backing up an elected Board and 53 Member Associations. Information on the organization can be found here: http://www.badmintoneurope.com 

The work will include some travelling and some flexibility in working hours will be required.

The job is in the Administration Department, where you will be the third Member of a highly motivated and dedicated team reporting to the General Secretary. The main areas of focus are:

Relevant working areas
  • Finances
  • Administration
Overall areas of responsibility
  • Close sparring with the management team
  • Development and maintenance of budgets follow-up and analysis of Budget vs. Actual spend.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of financial results, incl. preparation for management and board and ADM reporting.
  • Responsible for the efficient setup of the financial administration system and for optimizing financial processes
  • Invoicing, payments and management of creditors and debtors
  • Ensuring compliance with financial & tax regulations
  • Cooperation with auditors
  • Salaries
  • Meeting logistics - assist in planning Board meetings etc.
  • Office administration – assist in the daily running of the office.
The selected candidate is expected to have a keen interest and education in finance and administration.

Qualifications
  • You have min, 3 years relevant experience in bookkeeping and accounting
  • You have knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
  • You have attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
  • You have min. 3 years relevant experience in administration
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
  • You have initiative and personal drive
  • You can work and deliver within deadlines
  • You are comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • You are a team player
  • You are familiar with the world of badminton
Remunerations according to qualifications.

The successful candidate will have to re-locate to Copenhagen and should have the necessary work permission in the EU to be considered for the job.
